Summary

A circular cropmark around 18 metres in diameter visible on digital aerial photography taken in 2005. Interpreted as the probable remains of a round barrow.

Full Description

No evidence for associated features or mound material could be seen within the ring ditch. <1> The cropmark of a possible Bronze Age ring ditch can be seen on HE Reconnaissance aerial photographs taken in 2010. This cropmark is situated to the north-east of Higher Clockhouse Farm at SZ 1780 9747. Other linear cropmarks in this field are of post medieval field boundaries, one of which cuts through this ring ditch. <2>
