Full Description

A sports field, pavilion and playing ground on Lighthouse Road shown on the OS 3rd edn 25in map (1928) (1). Earlier maps (2, 3) show vestiges of quarrying on the site and it is likely that the sports facilities were landscaped from former quarry waste.
