Full Description

The Royal Navy cordite factory complex is shown extending over an area of about 80ha on the OS 3rd edn 1:2500 map (1925) (1). It had large numbers of buildings linked by tramway and served by rail sidings. It was constructed during WW1 and reused during WW2.
