Full Description

The OS 2nd edn 25in map (1898) (1) shows a linear earthwork about 55m long on the clifftop. It is on the same alignment as the boundary of the mid 19th century Southcliffe estate, enclosed from coastal heathland, shown on the OS 1st edn map (1871) (2, 3).
