Full Description

An extensive rectilinear drainage system is shown on the OS 1st edn 25in map (1871) (1), probably draining what was formerly the northern portion of Stanpit Marsh. It is divided by the Christchurch borough boundary from a less regular drainage system to the east. The area was redeveloped in the later 20th century and is now built up.
