Full Description

The OS ist edn 25in map (1892) (1) shows a linear earthwork approximately 60m long, forming a partial enclosure at its northern end, on a site to the SE of Castletown. A 'Tank' is marked close to its northern extent. It is not identified. However, a second earthwork approximately 100m to the N is identified as 'Old Reservoir'. This also has a 'Tank' shown nearby and it is possible that the unidentified earthwork was the remains of a second disused reservoir. The site was subsequently redeveloped (2).
