Summary

A bowl barrow situated on the western part of Black Down. It forms part of a wider cemetery. The barrow has a mound composed of pebble-flint and earth, with maximum dimensions of 12 metres in diameter and about 0.75 metres in height. Surrounding the mound is a quarry ditch which has become infilled and survives as a buried feature 1.5 metres wide.

Full Description

Bowl barrow 70 yards south of SY 68 NW 26; 30 ft diameter by 4 ft high. <1-3> SY 61018779. Bowl barrow, diameter 10.5m, height 0.8m. None of the barrows has a visible ditch. Resurveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <4>
