Summary

The remains of the former medieval open fields around Ashmore, enclosed in 1859. Two areas to the south of Ashmore village were known as Broadridge and Sandypits Fields.

ST 915178 Strip lynchets east of the village of Ashmore. <1-2> Slight evidence of lyncheting in pasture field. Poorly defined on OS air photographs. <3>
