Summary
The early mill is a narrow north-south aligned building now apparently of 4 storeys. It is built of rubble stone with wooden lintels. It appears to have been lowered and has a corrugated-iron belfast roof. To the northeast is a mid- or late-19th century brick extension. Immediately to the northwest is square stone column that was syphon tower for a large waterwheel. East of these is a tall rubble stone building, recently altered. Modern buildings adjoining the main mill incorporate probable mid to late 19th century low buildings of coursed brick and rubble stone. To the south of the mill yard is a north-south range, now rendered, comprising 3 two-storeyed cottages with a 3-storeyed warehouse at the south end. The cottage at the north end is an addition.
