Full Description
An oval grave 0.84m long, 0.51m wide and 0.30m deep orientated north-south, with the head at the north. The filling of the grave cut contained small fragments of pottery including late Iron Age beaded rims in Poole Harbour ware.
The skeleton was an adult male between 26 and 35 years old, lying in a crouched position on his right side, facing west with arms tucked beneath the chest and hands under the head. Examination of the bones revealed evidence of degenerative changes in the spine and some dental caries. {1}
