Full Description
One of two infant burials placed about 3m apart near the end of a double gully associated with the building complex (7970). The graves were apparently cut through a re-deposited midden deposit indicating that they were of 1st century AD date and so possibly contemporary with three coffined burials on the site.
A grave cut with ill-defined edges containing the incomplete skeleton of an infant lying on its right side with head to the north. Examination of the bones indicated that the child was between two weeks and five months old. There were signs of pathology, and no grave goods were found. {1}
