Full Description
Pit 7327 slighted by a modern hedge line. A pit 1.25m in diameter and 0.53m deep with vertical sides and a flat base, and a fill of dark brown silty clay with charcoal and small pieces of limestone, suggesting a single deliberate filling. Pottery in the filling was abraded body sherds in a range of fabrics favoured during the early Iron Age, and five fragments of animal bone including a cattle tooth and sheep/goat tibia.
