Full Description

A sand pit is shown on the first edition Ordnance Survey map (1). The extractive pit is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 and 1946 (2-3). It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. The site is no longer visible on recent photographic imagery and has probably been levelled (4).
