Monument record MDO37312 - Prehistoric enclosure, Sixpenny Handley
Please read our guidance about the use of Dorset Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
A rectangular enclosure seen as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 2005. The form of the enclosure suggests that it is likely to be prehistoric, possibly of Neolithic date. Note that the site is not included in the RCHME's Bokerley Dyke volume (Bowen 1990; 1991), either in the tabulated inventory or on the plan of archaeological sites.
