Full Description
Two slightly meandering ditches running roughly east-west and visible as cropmarks on digital aerial photographs taken in 2005 (1). The cropmarks cannot be discerned clearly in adjacent fields, so the extent of the ditches is not known. The ditches run more or less parallel and are around eleven metres apart. The southern ditch is larger, approximately four metres wide, and the northern ditch around 2.5 metres wide, and both appear quite irregular.
These features were digitally plotted as part of the Dorset Stour NMP. The boundary runs for 360m and at its eastern end abuts the rectilinear enclosure described in MDO40078 before appearing to continue south as a single ditched feature (2).
