Summary

A small undated ditch oriented NW-SE was found in evaluation trench 4 of the Corfe Mullen to Salisbury Water Transfer Scheme route. An undated pit or ditch terminal lay immediately adjacent to the south west. The record for this monument has been created with support from Wessex Water.

Full Description

A ditch (4004) running NW-SE was found in evaluation trench 4 of the archaeological evaluation of the Corfe Mullen to Salisbury Water Transfer Scheme route. It was about 0.9m wide and 0.4m deep with a narrow base with a single identified fill. No dating evidence was recovered. Immediately to the SW was a pit or ditch terminus (4006), also undated. The record for this monument has been created with support from Wessex Water.
