Full Description
A shallow undated ditch (110020) was found in the central part of evaluation trench 11 of the archaeological evaluation of the Corfe Mullen to Salisbury Water Transfer Scheme route. This ditch appeared to be aligned roughly NE-SW. Its full width was not exposed within the trench, but was over 1.4m wide and 0.3m deep. Its profile was not recorded. It contained primary fill 11021 and secondary fill 11022 from which no artefactual material was recovered. The fill was cut by three small pits (11023, 11028, 11030). [1]
