A small structure (4m across)is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1948. It is one of a line of three similar structures which are potentially the sites of Second World War pillboxes (MDO37441-3). The structure is no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery, the area having been overgrown with trees. It may have been used a trig point (marked on the OS 1:10,000 scale map of the area). The feature was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project.
