Summary
A small oval enclosure is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and aerial photographs on the summit of Allington Hill. It lies in the vicinity of the quarrying described in MDO37478 and is of uncertain date. It is 40m by 37m across and possibly overlies some of the quarry hollows the vicinity. It may relate to the quarrying or be of later or earlier. The site was digitally plotted from lidar imagery during the Marshwood Vale NMP project.
