Summary
An area of pasture which exhibits small enclosures formed by low lynchets and banks and faint platforms which suggest an area of Medieval depopulation. Parallel banked features associated with the shrunken medieval settlement of Durweston are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of Church Road. The features were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.

Centred at ST 859085. An area of pasture which exhibits small enclosures formed by low lynchets and banks and faint platforms which suggest an area of Medieval depopulation. <1>
Parallel banked features associated with the shrunken medieval settlement of Durweston are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of Church Road [3]. The features were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.
