Wide parallel ridges are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the south of Hingsdon Lane, Whitecross (1-2). They are considered to be the remains of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
