Full Description
* Compiler's note: This is probably a reference to RAF vertical aerial photograph CPE/UK/2038:1312. <1>
A pipeline laid through the hamlet in 1985 combined with extensive field walking provided evidence of a polyfocal settlement, the main being around Manor Farm (ST775211) and the church (ST782216). The pottery indicates occupation from the 12th to the 16th centuries. Earthworks and hut platforms were located to the East of Manor Farm along the pipeline. <1>
