A hollow, 33m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the south of Hackeridge Farm. It is marked as Old Chalk Pit on the OS 1st edition map and is considered likely to be be a post medieval extractive pit. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
