A hollow, 95m across, is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery at the southern end of Blackcroft Coppice. It is not marked on the OS 1st edition map but is considered likely to be a post medieval extractive pit. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
