A hollow, 30m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the west of Purcombe Farm. It is not marked on the OS 1st edition map and is considered to be a post medieval extractive pit or dewpond. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
