Summary
A hollow, 28m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the northeast of Higher Moorbath. It is not marked on the OS 1st Edition map and is considered to be a post medieval extractive pit. It was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description
A hollow, 28m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the northeast of Higher Moorbath (1). It is not marked on the OS 1st Edition map and is considered to be a post medieval extractive pit. It was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The site has since been plough-levelled and and is visible as cropmarks (2).
