Full Description

A unit of historic cultivation marks is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the west of Middlebrook Farm (1). It was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. A small area of orchard is marked on the OS 1st edition map immedietaly to the west of the ridging. It is considered likely that the plotted ridges are also associated with medieval or post medieval planation. The site has since been levelled and is no longer visible on the lastest Google Earth imagery.
