Summary

A unit of ridge and furrow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the west of Charing Cross. It coincides with an orchard marked on the OS 1st edition map and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

A unit of ridge and furrow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the west of Charing Cross (1). It coincides with an orchard marked on the OS 1st edition map and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The site has since been levelled and is no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery.
