Summary
Site of a probable Bronze Age bowl barrow visible as cropmarks/soilmarks on aerial photographs. One of three ploughed out barrow mounds located on a spur north-west of Penn Hill. This may be the barrow near Muckleford in which a burial with bronze dagger and a pin, and covered by a huge stone slab, was found by antiquarians.

Full Description
Listed as bowl barrows by Grinsell. Three grass-covered ditchless bowl barrows ranging from 20.0m to 23.0m diameter and 0.4m to 0.8m high. <3>
This barrow was 19 paces in diameter and 1/2 a foot in height. <4>
Three mounds, probably bowl barrows, on a spur north-west of Penn Hill. The northermost ('A') is 56ft diameter and 6ins high; the second ('B'), 30 yards to the south-east is 58ft diameter and 9ins high; the third ('C'), 70 yards south of ('A') is 50ft diameter and 9ins high. <5>

These three barrows have been completely ploughed out; deleted from M.S.D. <7>
