Summary

A dark circular cropmark around 290 metres WSW of Cayles Down Copse can be seen on aerial photographs dated 2005, and more faintly on aerial photographs dated 2002. This feature is approximately 16 metres in diameter and is interpreted as a probable Bronze Age round barrow.

Full Description

The area in the centre of the ditch is paler on the 2002 photographs, which may indicate that the monument survives as a slight, chalky mound. The dark circular cropmark of the ditch is roughly 1.5 metres wide with slightly irregular edges. <1>
