Summary

Fragments of a double-banked trackway and an associated field boundary are visible as visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948, to the south of Copplestones, Morcombelake. They run along the contour, just to the north of the modern lane and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. They are considered to be of medieval or later date.

Full Description

Fragments of a double-banked trackway and an associated field boundary are visible as visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948, to the south of Copplestones, Morcombelake (1). They run along the contour, just to the north of the modern lane and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. They are considered to be of medieval or later date. The site has since been plough-levelled and is no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery.
