Summary
Bank and ditched field boundaries of uncertain date are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north of Brighthay Farm. The features are possibly of medieval or post medieval date although an earlier date is possible. The site has been largely levelled although some linears are still visible as earthworks on lidar imagery. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description
Bank and ditched field boundaries of uncertain date are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north of Brighthay Farm (1). The features cover an area of 6 hectares and include the remains of possible strip fields at SY 4230 9451. The features are possibly of medieval or post medieval date although an earlier date is possible. The site has been largely levelled although some linears are still visible as earthworks on lidar imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
