An Old Quarry is marked at this location on the Ist edition OS map. The sites of two small extractive pits are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. A short linear scarp lies to the north at SY 3338 9351 which may be the site of a third qurry or a natural feature.
