Summary
A small hollow with an associated mound is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery on the southern slopes of Chardown Hill. The feature is possibly be the site of a post medieval or modern extractive pit and spoilheap. A rectangular structure is visible at this location on aerial photographs taken in 1942. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description
A small hollow with an associated mound is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery on the southern slopes of Chardown Hill (2). The feature is considered to be the site of a post medieval or modern extractive pit and spoilheap. A rectangular structure is visible at this location on aerial photographs taken in 1942 (1). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
