Full Description

Historic field boundaries to the east of Attisham are visible as banked and ditched earthworks on aerial photographs taken in the 1970s (1). The slightly curvilinear boundary form and parallel nature of these boundaries may indicate medieval strip field boundaries, but a later date is possible. These boundaries are no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
