Full Description
An undated ditched trackway is visible as an earthwork to the north of Specket Cottage on aerial photographs of the 1940s and 1970s (1) and (2). It is not shown on the OS First Edition historic mapping. The trackway leads north from Specket Cottage through a wooded plantation from where it curves east across an adjacent field. The 1940s aerial photographs (1) show a series of probable post medieval drainage ditches extending south from this trackway. The site is still faintly visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The trackway (but not the drainage ditches) was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
