Summary
Post medieval extractive pits to the south of Swilletts Farm are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s. A ditched trackway runs along the southern edge of the extractive pit and may be associated with it. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description
A post medieval extractive pit to the south of Swilletts Farm is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). This measures around 103m long by 26m wide. A ditched trackway runs along the southern edge of the extractive pit and may be associated with it. The extractive pits are still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
