Summary

Bank field boundaries of medieval or later date are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the east of Elsdon's Lane, Monkton Wyld. The features are partially marked on the OS 1st edition map and have since been levelled by modern landscaping. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Bank field boundaries of medieval or later date are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the east of Elsdon's Lane, Monkton Wyld (1). The features are partially marked on the OS 1st edition map and have since been levelled by modern landscaping. They are no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
