Summary
Two linear banked field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north east of Penn Farm (1). The features subdivide the current pattern of small irregular fields which may have a medieval (or earlier) origin. They are considered likely to be medieval origin although a later (or earlier) date is possible. They were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description
Two linear banked field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north east of Penn Farm (1). The features subdivide the current pattern of small irregular fields which may have a medieval (or earlier) origin. They are considered likely to be medieval origin although a later date is possible. They were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The features are no longer visible as an earthworks on Google Earth imagery (2).
