Summary
Historic ditched and banked field boundaries and possible trackways to the east of Lowdown Farm are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s and on a Lidar survey of 2010. The linear boundaries exhibit both rectilinear and curvilinear forms and may reflect boundaries of different date, predominantly medieval or later. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description
Historic ditched and banked field boundaries and possible trackways to the east of Lowdown Farm are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1) and on a Lidar survey of 2010 (2). The linear boundaries exhibit both rectilinear and curvilinear forms and may reflect boundaries of different date, predominantly medieval or later.Some of these boundaries are still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
