Summary
A series of banked and ditched field boundaries to the southeast of Park Water Cottages are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s. Full Description
A series of banked and ditched field boundaries to the southeast of Park Water Cottages are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). The form of the boundaries suggest a probable post medieval origin but an earlier date is also possible, potentially fossilising some relict medieval strip field boundaries. Some of the boundaries are still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
