A small hollow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north east of Higher Park Farm (1). It is 26m across and considered likely to be an extractive pit of post medieval origin. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The site has been plough-levelled and is no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery (2).
