Summary

A hollow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north of Griddleshay Farm. It is 17m across and marked as a solid feature on the OS 1st edition map. It is considered to be an extractive pit or dewpond of post medieval origin. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

A hollow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north of Griddleshay Farm (1). It is 17m across and marked as a solid feature on the OS 1st edition map (2). It is considered to be an extractive pit or dewpond of post medieval origin. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The site has since been levelled and is no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery.
