Summary

Two hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north of Church Coppice. They are 16-20m across and marked as a solid features on the OS 1st edition map. They are considered to be extractive pits or dewponds of post medieval origin. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Two hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north of Church Coppice. They are 16-20m across and marked as a solid features on the OS 1st edition map. They are considered to be extractive pits or dewponds of post medieval origin. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The features have since been plough-levelled and are no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery.
