Full Description
The ridges of possible post medieval narrow ridge and furrow to the north of Grange Lodge, Burstock, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1), 1970s (2) and on the latest Lidar imagery (3).
The modern agricultural use of the enclosure is pasture. There is a possibility the marks are those of modern cultivation, although the ridges and the field boundaries are still visible beneath pasture on the latest Google Earth imagery (4). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
