Summary
Two areas of ridge and furrow are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north west of Great Coombe Farm. One lies within a parcel of land marked as orchard on the OS 1st edition map. The features are considered to be post medieval plantation ridging associated with the orchards, they were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description
Two areas of ridge and furrow are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north west of Great Coombe Farm (1). One lies within a parcel of land marked as orchard on the OS 1st edition map (2). The features are considered to be post medieval plantation ridging associated with the orchards, they were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The site has been plough-levelled and the ridging is no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery (3).
