Summary

Parallel ridging is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the east of Guppy Plantation. The features are considered to be historic in date, possibly medieval or later cultivation marks or plantation ridging. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Parallel ridging is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the east of Guppy Plantation (1). The features are considered to be historic in date, possibly medieval or later cultivation marks or plantation ridging. The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. They have since been plough-levelled and the ridging is no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery (2).
