Summary

An extensive bank and ditched field system of medieval or later date is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 in the vicinity of Northay Farm. The features cover an area of 90 hectares; they were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

An extensive bank and ditched field system of medieval or later date is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 in the vicinity of Northay Farm (1-2). The features cover an area of 90 hectares; they were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The site has been plough-levelled and is no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery (3).
