Summary

A small hollow, 16m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the west of Keeper's Cottage Planation. It is considered to be a post medieval extractive pit and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. A short ditch, possibly a trackway leads into the hollow from the eastern side.

Full Description

A small hollow, 16m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the west of Keeper's Cottage Planation (1). It is considered to be a post medieval extractive pit and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. A short ditch, possibly a trackway leads into the hollow from the eastern side. The site has been plough-levelled and is no longer visible on Google Earth imagery (2)
