Summary

Bank and ditched field boundaries with associated ridge and furrow cultivation marks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south of Bowshot Farm. They are considered to be of medieval or post medieval date and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The features have been plough-levelled and are no longer visible on recent lidar imagery.

Full Description

Bank and ditched field boundaries with associated ridge and furrow cultivation marks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south of Bowshot Farm (1). They are considered to be of medieval or post medieval date and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The features have been plough-levelled and are no longer visible on recent lidar imagery. (2).
